I usually solve problems on my own though it’s out of my expertise. Well, sometimes I made it successful and also there are times that I failed the whole thing. Well, currently I’m doing a rescue operation for my friend’s dead laptop hard drive. He told me to fix it for him but he was hopeless about it. He even agreed that I will hold no liabilities on this if ever I lose everything during the process. Well, currently everything’s working fine but I haven’t updated him about it. I’m still trying to access the drive and recover some files. Hopefully, this will work fine and I will be able to recover everything without using any other things such as file recovery software.
I had a lot of things to do with my keyboard and that’s why I am very specific with its position. The keyboard that I use is only a regular keyboard. I had a lot of difficulties using this thing but since the budget is a big factor then I rather stick with this one just for now. Sometimes, I do dream that hopefully someday I can design a specific keyboard for bloggers like me. Well, that was just a wild dream but who knows what will happen tomorrow!
A while ago, my computer suffered a severe sudden shutdown. Before the sudden event of shutting down, the system was having a lot of activity that’s why I call it severe. It was a brownout that caused my PC to shutdown and because I don’t have the Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) that’s why I’m terribly worried of my unit.
Due to the life span of my cousin’s computer set, the unit went to its last drop of its operation. Yesterday, while doing her assignments and research works on her PC, she was frightened upon by a sudden loud sound coming from the unit. According to her it was clearly an explosion and she had no idea about what it was. So, I tried to visit her in their house to offer some help.
When I arrived there, I immediately checked the unit, trying to seek for the defects. Just before I took the cover off, I already knew what it was. I remove the side cover from the frame and saw the busted capacitor on the motherboard, nearest to the processor area. I don’t know of what was really the reason behind but I think it was related to the life span of an electronic component. So, I told her the best way to fix it is to change and buy a new motherboard or maybe she could have it fixed by professional troubleshooters in certain shops nearest to us.
Once again I performed my monthly maintenance for my PC. I decided to make it every month instead of every three months because I had come to a point that it is well performing when it is always clean. The last month’s cleaning activity was a result of a three consecutive months of usage without having it cleaned. I was shocked upon seeing what’s happening inside the unit. There I found the miserable plight of the different parts which was seemingly covered with something like a thick layer of dust, especially on the fans. I have learned on that experience and so what I did is I tried to change it by doing this first monthly cleaning. Actually, there were a bit of several dusty parts inside when I checked it four hours ago. But not like on the previous one wherein I had a lot of tough jobs along the way.
