Yesterday I went over the house of my uncle to visit his son who has been sick for about two days. My cousin texted me that she was so sick because of a very severe fever, headache, and sore throat. Her mother gave her some medicine and a sponge bath just to lessen her temperature. They also tried to contact their family doctor so that my cousin will be checked-up. I felt so sad with her because she was so pitiful while lying on her bed. I hope she will be okay soon.
The country’s boxing pride gained another flawless victory. Manny Pacquiao brought honor to every Filipino for winning the boxing fight against Joshua Clottey. Joshua Clottey known as The Grand Master wasn’t able to withstand the hard punches released by Pacman during their bout today at the Cowboy Stadium in Texas. Clottey has been a very difficult opponent for many boxers who failed to beat him. Because of his defense and fighting styles he has become so terrible to knock off the ring. But Clottey’s styles of wasn’t enough to cover himself from the strong punches of the Philippine Pacman. So once again, victory rested on the hand of the Filipino pride, Manny “The Pacman” Pacquiao.
Who has the best cure to help this current situation alleviated? The country is currently facing a great threat known as El Niño. Excessive heat seems to kill the agriculture day by day. Farmers have been so worried that there will be a total drought in the different food producing capitals of the regions. Right-now the famous Banaue Rice Terraces is experiencing the deadly impact of the El Niño phenomenon. According to the news the soil was almost dry and cracking and if the heavy rainfall will come in the following days, it will only destroy this beautiful creation of our brothers and sister in Ifugao.
The weather in our place was very dry. El Niño struck the country and everybody really feels the very strong kick of the phenomenon. The agricultural sector claimed that it is El Niño because they can really see the effect on their rice fields. The land was running out of water. Some farmers tried to give a temporary cure for their very dry field by deploying irrigation through fuel pumps and running water from the rivers. The farmers said that it is a very expensive way because they’ll need a lot of fuel for the continuous operation of the pump. While others are currently suffering because of this natural phenomenon there are some who’s slightly affected. They are trying to prepare for the sake of their growing plants and for their family.
This is the thought I gave to the special person of my life. She said to me that it’s disappointing to think that the one she expects to agree on everything she does is the one who does not. I know she was so dismayed with the things I had said to her. So, because of that I told her to do what she want to do because I want her to be in the life she want to live.
